San Jose Earthquakes News Release
SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose Earthquakes (3-6-5; 14 pts.) will face Nashville SC (6-4-4; 22 pts.) at GEODIS Park today at 5 p.m. PT. The match will be broadcast nationally on TUDN, UniMas and Twitter (English), as well as on local radio via KNBR 1050 (English) and 1370 KZSF (Spanish).
The Quakes have dropped just two of their last eight MLS matches (3-2-3) and their high-powered offense has scored at least twice in seven of their last 10 MLS matches. Forward Jeremy Ebobisse is tied for the league lead with nine goals, while midfielder Cristian Espinoza is tied for the league lead with seven assists.
Nashville SC remain unbeaten at their new home, which opened in May, with a 2-0-2 record. GEODIS Park is the largest soccer-specific stadium in the United States with a capacity of 30,000 fans. Nashville is 3-1-1 in their last five matches overall and are led offensively by German midfielder Hany Mukhtar, who has scored a team-high six goals.
The two Western Conference clubs have only met one prior time: a 2-2 draw at PayPal Park on April 16. Today's match is San Jose's first-ever away game in Nashville.
