Early Homers Wasted in Loss

Drew Millas and Mitch Longo both hit two-run home runs to give the Senators a 4-0 lead in the second inning, but they couldn't hold the lead and fell 6-4 to the Altoona Curve Tuesday night at FNB Field. Millas HR came in the first and Longo homered in the second. Altoona tallied four runs in the fifth inning to take a lead they never relinquished.

Joe Ross started and went three innings in his rehab appearance for the Senators. He struck out four and allowed two hits. He threw 31 pitches and 23 strikes and faced 11 batters. Andrew Lee went an inning and allowed a run on two hits. Luis Reyes pitched 2.2 innings and allowed five runs on four hits. Brian Gonzalez and Dakody Clemmer pitched the final 2.1 innings and combined to strike out five Curve batters.

Justin Connell had two hits for the Senators. Ehire Adrianza went three-for-three with a double in a rehab appearance. Harrisburg went 1-for-5 with runners in scoring position and stranded eight runners.

The Senators dropped their third straight game and fell three games under .500 for the first time this season. They also dropped to fifth place in the standings with Altoona leap frogging them with the win.
