Giving up seven runs in the first four innings the Calgary Vipers (23-19) were defeated 7-6 by the Strong Warriors of Maui (17-20) at Iron Maehara Stadium in Maui, Hawaii. Calgary gave up three runs in the first inning and despite a valiant comeback with five unanswered runs the Vipers could not come all the way back and lost their third straight game. Edward Valdez (2-2) took the loss after giving up all seven runs on 11 hits in six innings while Ryan Page (2-1) got his second straight win against the Snakes and Clayton Uyechi (2) recorded his second straight save. The Vipers drop to three and a half games back in third place in the North Division.

This series in Maui to take on the Strong Warriors continues on Saturday July 9th at 10:35 PM.

The Vipers will return home to Calgary and Foothills Stadium in Tuesday July 12th at 6:30 to take on the Edmonton Capitals.

The Calgary Vipers will be hosting three Women's Pro Fastpitch games between the USAA Pride and the Tennessee Diamonds August 2nd, 3rd and 4th at 6:30 at Foothills Stadium. Tickets are $16 for the Lower Bowl and $12 for the Upper Bowl. Three game packages are also available for $45 and $33. In addition there will be two skill clinics August 2nd and 4th from 10am - 12pm. Cost is $99 for a Clinic and Lunch or $120 for the Clinic, Lunch and two Lower Bowl tickets. There will also be a Lunch Banquet August 3rd including an autograph session with both teams and a lower bowl ticket to the August 3rd game for $49.95 with keynote speaker Cheri Kempf, the Commissioner of the NPF and an ESPN analyst.
