Friday, January 19 Eagles 3 vs. Arizona Sundogs 1

The Eagles beat the Arizona Sundogs Friday night 3-1 in front of the 128th consecutive sellout at the Budweiser Events Center. Riley Nelson, Chris Hartsburg and Sean Robertson all scored power play goals for Colorado and Tim Boron won his sixth consecutive start in net saving 29 of 30 shots. The game marked the Eagles 18th straight victory at the Budweiser Events Center.

Saturday, January 20 Eagles 5 vs. New Mexico Scorpions 3

The Colorado Eagles scored four unanswered third period goals in just 1:52 to comeback from a two-goal deficit and beat the New Mexico Scorpions 5-3 Saturday night at the Budweiser Events Center. Colorado and New Mexico entered the third period tied at one, New Mexico took a 3-1 lead early in the period, but the Eagles answered with a fury of goals from four different scorers to extend their unbeaten streak to 19 games at the Budweiser Events Center. Scott Polaski scored the game winner and Riley Nelson added two goals and an assist as Colorado improved their record to 29-5-0 remaining in first place in the Northwest Division. Mike Falk had a goal and an assist for the Scorpions and Christopher Robertson had two assists in the loss. The Scorpions still have never defeated the Eagles in regulation at the BEC in 15 games, Colorado is 12-0-3 all-time against New Mexico at home.

Week Ahead

Wednesday, January 24 vs. Laredo Bucks, 7:05 p.m. MST Radio: 107.9 TV: Altitude

The defending champion Laredo Bucks visit the Budweiser Events Center for the only time this season on Wednesday night in front of a televised audience on Altitude Sports & Entertainment. The two teams lead their respective conferences yet again. The Eagles hold a 3-1-1 all-time mark over Laredo in the regular season and they beat the Bucks four games to one in the 2005 President's Cup Finals. The Eagles will travel to Laredo in March for the second of their two meetings this season.

Friday, January 26 at Tulsa Oilers, 6:35 p.m. MST Radio: 107.9 The Bear

Colorado travels to Tulsa for second and final time this season. They beat the Oilers 3-2 in their first road contest of the season on November 7, 2006. The Eagles are 17-3-1 all-time against the Oilers and 2-0 this season. The teams will play once more at the Budweiser Events Center on February 21, 2007 in front of a televised audience on Altitude Sports & Entertainment.

Saturday, January 27 at Wichita Thunder, 6:05 p.m. MST Radio: 107.9 The Bear

The Eagles will play Thunder in Wichita on consecutive Saturdays. The teams have played three times this season, all at the Budweiser Events Center in which the Eagles have won every game. They will play four more times this season, all at the Kansas Coliseum in Wichita. The Thunder have beaten the Eagles more than any other team during the regular season with 13 wins in 28 games.

19 Straight- Following their 5-4 loss on opening night to the Rocky Mountain Rage, the Eagles have won 19 straight games at the Budweiser Events Center. In the last 19 games, the Eagles have more than doubled their opponents in scoring, 88-42 at home. The Central Hockey League record for consecutive home wins is 21 set by the Laredo Bucks in the 2003-04 season.

Milestone Games- Saturday night's game against the New Mexico Scorpions marked a milestone game for two different Eagles players. Chris Hartsburg played in his 200th professional game and Lee Arnold played in his 100th pro game.

Newest Player- Right winger Brent Hughes played in his first game for Colorado on Friday night against the Arizona Sundogs after the Eagles acquired him from the Amarillo Gorillas last week in a trade for future considerations. Hughes recorded one shot in his debut with the team on Friday night and had his first assist with the team on Saturday night against the Scorpions.

Power Players- The Eagles have the top power play unit in the league with a 23.7% conversion rate. Over the last eight games the Eagles have had at least one power play goal and they have converted on 29.4% of their chances going 15-51.
