Rocky Mountain Rage News Release

LAST WEEK'S RECORD: 0-2-0 OVERALL RECORD: 8-22-4, 20 pts., 4th Place Northwest Division

Jan. 19 @ Corpus Christi Rayz, 6-2 Loss - After digging themselves a hole by allowing four power play goals, the Rage rallied behind second period tallies from Dominic Noel and Trevor Weisgerber to cut a 4-0 deficit in half heading to the third. But the Rayz stole back the momentum by scoring twice in the first three minutes of the final frame to win the teams' lone meeting of the year.

Jan. 20 @ Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees, 5-2 Loss - The Rage jumped out to a 2-0 lead behind goals from Chip Dunleavy and John DiPace and still led, 2-1, at the mid-way point. Injuries that have led to a bench with no more than 13 available skaters for the eighth consecutive game left Rocky Mountain looking fatigued during the second half of the game, though, and the Killer Bees posted five unanswered goals for the win.

NOTES

* Mark Wires scored two goals and added an assist in the Northern Conference's 9-6 win over the Southern Conference at last week's CHL All-Star Game in Bossier City, La.

* With an assist on Friday in Corpus Christi, John DiPace now has 100 career assists in his 3+ seasons as a pro.
