DOUG SUTTON FUNDRAISER
The Eagles raised funds to save a Longmont man's life at this weekend's pre-season games. Doug Sutton of Longmont, 39, has been diagnosed with pseudomyxoma peritonei syndrome, a rare appendix cancer occurring in about one in a million people. He needed approximately $50,000 more for the surgery to save his life. Eagles fans raised about $6,300 dollars at the Budweiser Events Center this weekend. Water Valley and Diamond G each matched the money raised at the pre-season games, making the total raised approximately $19,000. The Eagles would like to thank all of the people that donated to this worthy cause; you have truly made a difference.
