
Eagles Return Three Forwards

WINDSOR, Colo.- The defending President's Cup Champion Colorado Eagles have re-signed three players for the 2007-08 season. Forwards Fraser Filipic, Steve Haddon and Scott Polaski all return from the Eagles championship squad.
Filipic, a fourth-year player with the Eagles, is the team's all-time leader in penalty minutes with 828, he led the Eagles last season with 284 minutes in 55 games played. The Thorsby, Alberta native has played in 195 games scoring 84 points on 32 goals and 52 assists. He had his finest scoring season during 2005-06 in which he had 44 points (19-25-44) in 63 games played. The 5'10", 185-pound forward was voted the league's "Best Fighter" for the 2005-06 season and finished third in the "Best Fighter, Pound for Pound" voting last season. This will be Filipic's fifth professional season, all have been with the Eagles.
Forward Steve Haddon returns to the Eagles for his second professional season. Haddon, 23, joined the Eagles during the 2006 playoffs as an amatuer player playing in just three games during the playoffs. The 6'1", 190-pound forward enjoyed a fine rookie season in 2006-07 in which he had seven goals, eight assists, was +10 and had 47 penalty minutes in 44 games played. During the Eagles playoff run in 2007, Haddon had four goals including a game-winner and had two assists in 23 games.
Scott Polaski, 25, is entering his third pro season, all of which have been with the Eagles. Polaski did not miss a single game in each of his first two seasons playing in 128 games while scoring 33 goals and 46 assists. The Colorado Springs, Colorado native is +28 for his career and he set a career high last season with 24 assists. The former Colorado College Tiger played for the Utah Grizzlies of the AHL for four games following his career at CC prior to coming to the Eagles. He has played in 35 playoff games for Colorado in two seasons and has scored nine goals and nine assists including one game-winning goal.
The Colorado Eagles will begin their 5th Anniversary season this October 19th against the Arizona Sundogs at the Tim's Toyota Center. The Eagles home opener is on October 24th against the Tulsa Oilers where they will look to extend their 126-game regular season sellout streak.
