Saginaw enters its fifth season on the wings of its most successful season in team history, and most successful season in the past ten years of franchise history. Saginaw will also be the host of the 2007 OHL All Star Classic, presented by the Dow Chemical Company. "All Star Hockey for an All Star Community".

The Plymouth Whalers are riding high after a 7-6 shootout win against the Erie Otters during their home opener on Saturday night. The Whalers return with an over-powered offense, with the likes of Jared Boll (CBJ 05), Evan Brophey (CHI 05), Dan Collins (FLA 05), James Neal (DAL 05) and Tom Sestito (CBJ 06). Defenseman Ryan McGinnis (LA 05) will work to keep the puck out of the Whalers zone, and will be backstopped by Goaltender and Czech native Michal Neuvirth (WSH 06).

Sarnia hit the ice for the first time on September 23, defeating the Plymouth Whalers 7-3. Newly acquired overage forward Trevor Kell (London Knights) earned a hat trick in his Sting debut, and will be joined this season by forward Mark Katic and the 2006 OHL first overall pick Steven Stamkos. Also returning to the yellow and black ranks is recent Carolina Hurricanes' draft pick Harrison Reed (CAR 06).

The Windsor Spitfires are starting off the season losing record after dropping games to both the Erie Otters and to the Guelph Storm. Windsor is still a force to contend with, due in part to returning veterans Mike Weber (BUF 06) and Scott Todd (NAS 05). Anthony Guadagnolo will be in the Windsor net again this season.
