Eagles Invite 57 Players to 2023 Training Camp

Hockey season is here! On Thursday, 38 players will register for the 2023 Cape Breton Eagles Training Camp, with another 19 registering on Sunday, August 20th.

The wait won't be long before the players hit the ice on Friday evening at Centre 200 for the first of four Black vs White intrasquad games. Fans will have the first chance to see the team's top pick in the 2023 QMJHL Draft, Émile Ricard, along with top Euro draft pick, and 2023 Hlinka Gretzky Cup silver medalist, Jakub Milota, starting Friday.

Veterans, like this year's New Jersey Devil draft pick, Cam Squires, along with offseason acquisitions, Cam MacDonald and Cole Burbidge, will begin prep on their 2023 season starting Sunday evening.

All practices and intrasquad games are free of charge to attend and open to the public.

TRAINING CAMP SCHEDULE

Friday, August 18th

9:00am - 10:00am: Team White on-ice practice

10:30am - 11:30am: Team Black on-ice practice

6:30pm - 8:15pm: Black vs White (Centre 200)

Saturday, August 19th

9:00am - 10:00am : Team Black on-ice practice

10:30am - 11:30am: Team White on-ice practice

6:30pm - 8:15pm: Black vs White (Centre 200)

Sunday, August 20th

10:00am - 12:00pm: Black vs White (Centre 200)

6:30pm - 7:30pm: On-ice (Veterans)

Monday, August 21st

9:00am - 10:00am: Team White on-ice practice

10:30am - 11:30am: Team Black on-ice practice

6:30pm - 8:15pm : Black vs White - Veterans (Centre 200)

Thursday, August 24th

10:30am - 11:30am: Team Black on-ice practice

11:30am - 1:00pm: Team White on-ice practice

Preseason games begin Tuesday, August 22nd vs the Halifax Mooseheads in Dartmouth, with the first home preseason game on Wednesday, August 23rd vs the Mooseheads at Centre 200.
