Cape Breton Eagles News Release
Today the Cape Breton Eagles will honour a legend in Cape Breton hockey- the late great Blair "Bearcat" Joseph, who passed away in 2023 due to pancreatic cancer. Prior to today's game there were a special ceremony with a number of guest speakers honouring Bearcat's contributions to the Eagles and Cape Breton hockey- Joseph was an assistant coach with the Eagles from 2001 to 2012, and a member of the scouting staff from 2012 to 2016.
The opposition for today's contest is the Victoriaville Tigres, a projected title favourite who is making their lone visit to Centre 200 this season, led by current leading scorer Tommy Cormier and Anaheim Ducks' prospect Noah Warren.
It's also Family Day at the Nest- a youth ticket can be purchased for $5 with the purchase of an adult ticket. Family Day pricing is in effect for all Sunday games all season long at Centre 200.
