Cape Breton Eagles News Release

It's the first road game of the 2024 playoffs for the Cape Breton Eagles, and they are looking to take a stranglehold on their first round series against the Rimouski Océanic. The Eagles hold a 2-0 lead after a 7-3 victory in Saturday night.

Cape Breton's Cam Squires has been dominant, as his eight points leads all scorers in the CHL through the first two opening playoff games. After a big second period broke open game one, it was the fhird period- and four goals in the opening eight minutes- that paced the Eagles to a big win on Sautrday.

Goaltending continues to be a story for Rimouski, as in the absence of Quentin Miller, as starter Cédric Massé was pulled in game one and game two starter William Lacelle was lifted in game two.
