Eagles Fans to Vote for Top 25 Players in Team History

SYDNEY- This summer, Cape Breton Eagles fans will vote to determine the top 25 players in the history of the franchise.
Today on capebretoneagles.com the club announced that a Top 25 list will be determined through a sequence of fan votes involving 64 former Eagles players. Beginning this Thursday, the first group of eight players will be revealed at 12 PM and fans can choose four players to move on to the next round of voting. A new group of eight will be unveiled every two days, with the voting for each group lasting 48 hours. All voting will be done through the team website at capebretoneagles.com. The top four vote getters from each group will move on to the final 32 at which point fans will vote for the final top 25.
The Cape Breton (Screaming) Eagles franchise began play in 1997-98, and in total 423 players have played for the club.
