Colorado Eagles News Release
The Colorado Eagles announced today that they've joined forces with TeamBorsheim.com in an effort to help raise money and show support for recently-injured player Les Borsheim. Borsheim was critically injured in a motorcycle accident on June 1 before being air-lifted to a local hospital where he underwent successful surgery to help stabilize his neck.
Borsheim's continuing to battle on his road to recovery, regaining small movements in his extremities as the days go by. "We're hopeful that in the minutes, hours and days ahead, he will continue his struggle to recovery accompanied by many thoughts and prayers," said Head Coach Chris Stewart.
Former teammate - and Captain of the Oklahoma City Blazers - Tyler Fleck, has designed and manages TeamBorsheim.com. The site features updates on Les' condition, a place for the public to leave well-wishes, numerous ways to help financially (from pure donations to the purchasing of merchandise) and much more.
"Borsh and I played together for a couple years," said Fleck, "and when something goes wrong, your teammates are supposed to pick you up. There are a lot of people involved and showing their support, and that will definitely help Les get back on his feet." The Eagles have joined in Fleck's efforts by linking directly to the Web site via their homepage at www.coloradoeagles.com.
