TULSA, OK- The Colorado Eagles won their Central Hockey League-leading 41st game of the season Tuesday night with a 4-3 victory over the Tulsa Oilers at the Tulsa Convention Center. Colorado scored four unanswered goals in the come-from-behind win and got two goals from forward Fraser Filipic. Paulo Colaiacovo saved 28 of 31 shots for his league-leading 27th win of the season. The Northwest Division Champion Eagles inched closer to the Governors' Cup needing just six points to clinch the league title for the second straight season.

The Oilers took an early lead on a goal by Mike Lukajic at the 2:55 mark of the first period. He was assisted by Doug Watkins and Klage Kaebel. At the 13:29 mark of the period, Paxton Schulte lit the lamp on an unassisted goal for his sixth goal of the season. The Oilers took the 2-0 lead into the first intermission although they were being out shot by the Eagles 12-8. Neither team was able to score with the man advantage with Colorado missing out on one opportunity and killing both of the Oilers chances.

The game switched momentum in the second period. Colorado's Fraser Filipic pinpointed a shot that beat Oilers' goaltender Marco Emond to cut the lead to 2-1. Ryan Tobler tied the game on a power play goal at the 11:10 mark when he came in on Emond and found an opening for his 22nd goal of the season. Moments later, Eagles forward Lee Arnold went glove side top shelf on Emond and gave Colorado their first lead of the game at 3-2. Colorado out shot the Oilers 12-10 again in the second period and went into the third period with the lead.

Colorado's Fraser Filipic scored his second goal of the game and Colorado's fourth unanswered goal at the 5:34 mark of the third period. It marked the first time this season that Filipic has scored two goals in a single game and continued to extend his career high in points to 43 for the season. Jaroslav Cesky made it a one-goal game on a give-and-go with Jim Dahl with three minutes remaining, but the Oilers could not tally the equalizer. Final score: Eagles 4 - Tulsa 3. The Eagles finished the season 6-1-1 against the Oilers this season improved their record to 41-12-6 for 88 points.
