
Bucks In Hunt For CHL Governors' Cup

LAREDO, Texas - Laredo Bucks are in the hunt for the CHL Governor's Cup signifying the best record in the regular season. The Bucks are hot on the heels of Colorado for the top spot in the CHL. Laredo Bucks 2006 CHL playoff tickets are now on sale. Also Bucks season ticket holders have until Monday, March 20th, to redeem their unused tickets for a voucher good for any Bucks regular season home game. The Bucks host the Memphis RiverKings on Friday with a 7:30 p.m. face off. Laredo then hosts the Corpus Christi Rayz on Sunday in a 4 p.m. start. The Bucks have already clinched a playoff spot for the fourth straight season and have captured their third straight Southeast Division title. Bucks season ticket holders can currently purchase their playoff tickets to guarantee a seat for the postseason. Laredo is just four points back of the Colorado Eagles in the race for the Governors' Cup.
"Home ice advantage is huge in the playoffs," Bucks head coach Terry Ruskowski said. "We really need our fans to come to the games and help us out over the last three home games in the regular season. The louder it is in the LEC, the better we play."
The team that captures the Governor's Cup has home ice advantage throughout the CHL Playoffs. The Bucks have currently clinched home ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs and need just three more points to clinch the top seed in the Southern Conference.
Laredo season ticket holders can redeem any unused ticket good for a voucher, but must do so by Monday, March 20th. The vouchers are good for Bucks regular season games only and do not include playoff contests. Vouchers are good for upper bowl seating only. The Bucks have regular season home games left this Friday and Sunday and then the regular season finale on Sunday, March 26th.
UPCOMING PROMOTIONS
The Bucks are home on Friday against the Memphis RiverKings. Face-off set for 7:30 p.m. The first 2,000 fans get a Bucks clover leaf key chain courtesy of Cingular. Plus the Bucks will wear St. Paddy's day jerseys that will be auctioned off after the game. On Sunday the Bucks host the Corpus Christi Rayz. Face off set for 4 p.m. The first 2,500 fans getting a flip drum courtesy of Whataburger. Plus families can take advantage of a four pack of tickets, starting at 48 dollars. Fans can enjoy a post-game skate on Sunday.
