Eagles and The Bear team up for broadcasts

FORT COLLINS, CO - The Colorado Eagles of the Central Hockey League and 107.9 The Bear (KPAW) of Clear Channel of Northern Colorado today announced a multi-year agreement to broadcast all of the Eagles' games on The Bear. Eagles President/General Manager Ralph Backstrom and Stu Haskell, Vice President/General Manager of Clear Channel made the announcement.

Under the agreement, The Bear will broadcast all Eagles' home and away games including pre- and post-season games as well as stream all games online. The weekly "Coach's Show" will be aired online through The Bear's website at www.1079thebear.com. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

107.9 The Bear is the most listened to Rock station in Northern Colorado, and has been a staple of Classic Rock for more than 10 years. 107.9 The Bear is operated locally by Clear Channel Radio, who is a leading radio company focused on serving local communities across the U.S. with more than 110 million listeners choosing Clear Channel Radio programming each week. The company's operations include radio broadcasting, syndication and independent media representation. Locally, Clear Channel operates 107.9 The Bear (KPAW-FM), 96.1 KISS FM (KSME-FM), My 97.9 (KQLF-FM), Fox News Radio 600 KCOL (KCOL-AM) and 1410 AM KIIX (KIIX-AM).

The back-to-back Governors' Cup Champion Colorado Eagles will begin their fourth season of play in October 2006. Colorado has been the winningest team in the Central Hockey League the past three seasons compiling a 130-40-18 record, and has set the "AA" record for consecutive sellouts at 94 regular-season games and counting.
