Round Rock Express News Release
Mention the Win/Win Promotion for $7 Box Seats August 5-12! When the Express won in the month of July, so did the fans.
Round Rock launched the âWin/Win' promotion at the start of the month, knocking $1 off the price of box seats (normally $12 each) for the dates of Aug. 5 - Aug. 12 for every home game the Express won for the month of July. The Express defeated Nashville once and Albuquerque and Oklahoma City twice, trimming the price of a box seat to $7 for the opening home stand of August - just $1 more than a general admission ticket.
Tickets for the âWin/Win' promotion are now on sale at the Express box office and are also available by calling (512) 255-2255. Walk-up tickets are also available. Fans must reference the âWin/Win' promotion in order to receive the ticket discount. Up to six box seats may be purchased per person using the âWin/Win' promotion.

Sammy Gervacio, Bud Norris earn first Big League Promotion For the second time in three days, the Houston Astros have called on the Round Rock Express pitching corps.
The Astros announced Thursday that right-handed starter Russ Ortiz was released after allowing nine hits and nine earned runs in 2 1/3 innings to send the Astros to their fifth loss in six games at Chicago's Wrigley Field. The move made room on Houston's roster for right-handed reliever Sammy Gervacio.
Right-handed starter Bud Norris was called-up by the Astros on Tuesday night and made his Major League debut against the Cubs just hours after landing in Chicago on Wednesday. Norris allowed one run and struck out four over three innings of work.
The Major League promotion is the first for Norris, 24, who was ranked as the Astros' No. 1 prospect by Baseball America heading into this season. Norris carried a 2.51 ERA through his first five starts with Round Rock this season, earning a no decision in each before picking up his first win with 6 2/3 scoreless innings (1 UER) against Oklahoma City on May 9. He has allowed three or more earned runs in just four of his 19 starts, limiting hitters to a .237 clip and carving out a Pacific Coast League-best 2.63 ERA along the way.
Norris has fanned 112 batters over a career-high 120 innings (second-best among all Houston minor leaguers).
Thursday's promotion to the Major Leagues marks the first for Gervacio, who is 2-2 with a 5.40 ERA and 48 strikeouts against 20 walks in 35 relief appearances for Round Rock.
The 24-year-old Gervacio has not allowed an earned run in 21 of his outings and carved out a 2.45 ERA over nine June appearances.
Gervacio is holding Triple-A hitters to a .244 batting average and has walked just four batters in his last 11 efforts dating back to June 23.
