November 16, 2021 - National Women's Soccer League (NWSL)
Seattle Reign FC News Release
TACOMA, WA - OL Reign midfielder Dzsenifer Marozsán has been called up to the German Women's National Team by head coach Martina Voss-Tecklenburg for the November FIFA international match window, where the team is set to play two World Cup Qualifying matches. One match will be played in Germany and the other in Portugal.
No. 3 ranked Germany takes on No. 69 ranked Turkey first, on Friday, November 26 at 7:00 a.m. PT at Eintracht-Stadion in Braunschweig, Germany. The two teams last met in 2016, where Germany came away with dominate 6-0 win. Turkey is currently in third place in Group H, with four points.
In their second match of the November window, Germany takes on No. 30 ranked Portugal on Tuesday, November 30 at 10:00 a.m. PT at Estádio de São Luís in Faro, Portugal. Germany and Portugal have not met in recent years and Voss-Tecklenburg predicts Portugal will be the most challenging team in the group.
With four wins from four games and a goal differential of 19, Germany currently leads Group H, which also includes Turkey, Portugal (currently second in group), Israel, Serbia and Bulgaria. The top team in the group qualifies directly for the World Cup. The group runners-up play playoffs for two more spots in the tournament.
Marozsán has been playing with the German national team since October 2010, when she made her debut against Australia. She has made 108 appearances for the team and has scored 33 goals. Most recently, she was called up during the October FIFA window and played in both of Germany's World Cup Qualifying matches against Israel and earned one assist.
International Match Schedule for November:

Germany vs. Turkey - Eintracht-Stadion, Braunschweig, Germany - 7:00 a.m. PT
Tuesday, November 30
Portugal vs. Germany - Estádio de São Luís, Faro, Portugal - 10:00 a.m. PT
