Dyson Named Batter of the Week

Burlington, IA (June 8, 2009) - The Midwest League announced today that Bees outfielder Jarrod Dyson was named Batter of the Week for the week of June 1-7.

It didn't take long for Dyson to make his presence felt at Community Field. In his first game of the season on June 2, he had three hits in a loss to the Quad Cities. Overall for the week, the speedy outfielder went 11-for-23 at the plate (.478) with eight runs scored, two doubles, one triple, three RBI, and six stolen bases in just five games.

2009 is the second time Dyson has played for the Bees. He played in 10 games for Burlington during the 2007 season.
