LANSING, Mich. - The scheduled Monday evening game between the Lansing Lugnuts (21-34) and the West Michigan Whitecaps (35-21) has been postponed due to rain and will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Tuesday starting at 6:05 p.m. at Oldsmobile Park.

Gates will still open at 5:50 p.m. for the Dollar Dog Tuesday, featuring two seven-inning games. Right-hander Chase Lirette (1-0, 1.31) will start for Lansing in the opener, with right-hander Chad Beck (0-1, 4.91) starting in Game 2.

West Michigan is scheduled to start a pair of Detroit Tigers prospects in left-hander Casey Crosby (4-0, 2.83) and right-hander Luke Putkonen (3-2, 3.65).

The doubleheader will be Lansing's eighth of the 2009 season, including a twinbill split yesterday with West Michigan.

.Fans possessing tickets to Monday night's game are encouraged to exchange those tickets in person at the Oldsmobile Park box office for tickets of equal or lesser value to a future Lugnuts game.
