Dynamo, StatoilHydro to host Soccer Night Out in Pearland

HOUSTON, TX (Tuesday, May 5, 2009) - The Houston Dynamo and StatoilHydro will host their third Soccer Night Out of the season on Thursday, May 7, at Independence Park in Pearland from 6-8 p.m. Dynamo goalkeeper Pat Onstad and defender Eddie Robinson, both Pearland residents, will attend.

The Soccer Night Out events are designed to bring local communities together for soccer-related games and activities. This event is hosted by Pearland United Soccer Club, a Student of the Game partner of the Houston Dynamo.

"It's a club that my kids used to play at, so it's nice to go out there and see some friendly faces," Onstad said. "We're looking forward to it, and I know it's going to be an enjoyable evening."

Team mascot Dynamo Diesel and the Dynamo Girls will join Onstad and Robinson at Independence Park. The event will include pick-up soccer games, an inflatable soccer field, music, face-painting, balloon artists, and a raffle for Dynamo prizes.

The Dynamo are next in action on Saturday, May 9, hosting in-state rival FC Dallas at 8:00 p.m. at Robertson Stadium, and fans will be treated to a post-game fireworks show.
