Houston Dynamo FC News Release

The Houston Dynamo erased a 3-1 deficit in the final 17 minutes with two goals from Will Bruin to earn a 3-3 draw with Toronto FC at BBVA Compass Stadium on Wednesday. Toronto led 3-1 at halftime after two goals from Netherlands striker Danny Koevermans. The Dynamo remain unbeaten at BBVA Compass Stadium since its opening, with three wins and two draws in five home games.

The Dynamo extended its home unbeaten streak to 14 games (including Robertson Stadium), dating to June 18, 2011.

Houston is 5-4-5 through 14 games and in fifth place in the Eastern Conference.

Will Bruin has eight goals on the season after producing his second two-goal game of the year. Trailing 3-1 in the 73rd minute, Bruin finished a great buildup from the Dynamo that began with a long ball from Dynamo defender Geoff Cameron to Brad Davis near the corner. Davis received the ball and expertly cut inside on his defender before laying the ball off for Bruin near the top of the box, where Bruin placed it calmly into the far corner for an uplifting goal.

In the 90th minute, Cameron and substitute Brian Ownby combined to setup Bruin again. After a scrappy battle, Ownby put Cameron through near the end line. Cameron spotted Bruin and delivered a well-lofted cross just outside the six-yard box where Bruin rose above his defender to head home the late equalizer.

Toronto FC opened the scoring in the 13th minute when defender Jeremy Hall found a loose ball in the box and found the net after his shot hit both posts. It was Hall's first MLS goal.

Seven minutes later Bobby Boswell connected on Brad Davis' corner kick with a well-hit header into the side netting for the tying goal. It was Boswell's first goal of the season and the fifth Dynamo goal this season off of a corner kick.

After the equalizer it took TFC just two minutes to regain the advantage. Koevermans completed a nice sequence for Toronto with a finish at the back post off a cross from Eric Avila.

In the 45th minute Koevermans struck again, out-leaping his defender to head a cross from Julian de Guzman into the net for a 3-1 lead.

It was Boswell's 11th goal in all competitions, as the defender moved into a tie for seventh on the Dynamo franchise scoring list.

The pair of goals increased Bruin's career total to 13, with the second-year striker climbing to fifth on Houston's all-time regular season scoring list.

It was Cameron's 97th regular season start, with the defender reaching seventh on the Dynamo games chart.

It was defender Andre Hainault's 101st start in all competitions for the Dynamo, as he moved to 12th on the franchise list.

Tally Hall started for the 48th consecutive regular season game, extending his franchise record for consecutive starts by a goalkeeper.

The Dynamo are now 3-3-5 all-time in regular season meetings with Toronto FC.
