HOUSTON, TX (Tuesday, July 28, 2009) -- The Houston Dynamo learned their six-game schedule for Group A of the 2009-10 CONCACAF Champions League when CONCACAF announced the schedule Tuesday.

The Dynamo will open their second consecutive Champions League campaign with a home game at Robertson Stadium on Wednesday, August 19, against Isidro Metapán of El Salvador, with the game kicking off at 7:00 p.m. Other home games in Houston will be Tuesday, September 22, at 9:00 p.m. against either Olimpia or Arabe Unido and Wednesday, September 30, at 9:00 p.m. against either Pachuca or Deportivo Jalapa. The qualifying series that will determine the final two teams in Group A take place July 28-30 and August 4-6.

Tickets for all three games are included in Dynamo season ticket packages, and season ticket holders will have the chance to purchase additional seats before tickets go on sale to the public. More ticket information will be available in the coming weeks.

The top two teams from Group A will qualify for the quarterfinals, to be held over two legs in March 2010. The tournament champion will qualify for the 2010 FIFA Club World Cup, to be held in December 2010 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

The 2009-10 CONCACAF Champions League will be the Houston Dynamo's fourth consecutive appearance in the region's club championship tournament. The Dynamo reached the semifinals in the Champions' Cup in 2007 and 2008 and were the only United States team to reach the quarterfinals of the inaugural Champions League in 2008-09, falling to eventual champion Atlante. Houston qualified for this year's tournament as runner-up for the MLS Supporters' Shield in 2008.

The Dynamo will next be in action on Saturday, August 1, when they host D.C. United at Robertson Stadium.
