HOUSTON - This week, the Dynamo Classic Rewind series on HoustonDynamo.com will feature the Houston Dynamo run to the 2018 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup title.

Two matches from the 2018 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup title run will be available on HoustonDynamo.com on April 15 beginning with "The Dylan Wolpers Derby." The Dynamo and Minnesota United FC met for a ticket to the quarterfinals of the Open Cup at BBVA Stadium on a steamy evening in June. Houston scored the game-winning goal minutes into the second half as Adam Lundkvist found Mauro Manotas at the near post for his first goal of the tournament.

A few minutes into the second half, fans from both teams watching the match online got a surprise, as a glitch in the control booth sent the in-stadium feed onto the online stream and the view of the match was briefly interrupted by a "Happy Birthday Dylan Wolpers!" graphic. Fans from both teams were puzzled by the glitch at first, but the confusion quickly turned into a lighthearted running joke between both teams, and the Houston-Minnesota series is now jokingly referred to as the Dylan Wolpers Derby.

The second match of the on-demand doubleheader features the thrilling six-goal semifinal shootout with Los Angeles Football Club that was decided by penalty kicks. Houston entered the final 15 minutes of regulation with a 3-1 lead, but LAFC forward Diego Rossi forced extra time with a second-half brace. Philippe Senderos punched Houston's ticket to the final by converting from the penalty spot in the eighth round of the shootout prior to Latif Blessing missing the mark for LAFC.

The path to the club's first Open Cup title comes to an end on Saturday, April 18 as "2018 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Champions" is streamed on-demand on HoustonDynamo.com. Manotas was the man of the evening as his brace secured the Open Cup for the club and personally, he finished with six goals during the tournament to claim the Golden Boot. Manotas also reached 20 goals for the calendar year in that match, a first for a Dynamo player.

Additional matches will air each Wednesday and Saturday through at least mid-May as the 2020 Major League Soccer is suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Subsequent matches will be announced weekly.
