The Tri-City Dust Devils completed their second sweep at Gesa Stadium this season with the 5-1 win on Monday night over the Everett AquaSox on Monday night. The pitching staff shined in sweep, only allowing one run to the AquaSox in 27 innings.
Owen Miller had a standout night at the plate. Miller, who came into the game with the tenth best batting average in the Northwest League, had three hits and scored the team's first run of the night. The game was broke open by Tri-City in the bottom of the seventh inning. The Dust Devils capitalized on Everett's mistakes to score three runs, despite only getting one hit in the inning. Henry Henry earned his second win of the season after allowing only one run in five innings of work.
Tri-City will have the first off day of the season on Tuesday. The Dust Devils will return to action on Wednesday in Hillsboro, starting a five-game road series against the Hops. The next home game for Tri-City will be on Monday, July 16. The opener of the eight-game homestand will be Home Run Derby Night presented by The Batters Box and a Coca-Cola Monday, where all 22 oz.
