Bradenton, FL - The Marauders (15-8, 47-46) ran their winning streak to six straight with a 3-1 win over Lakeland (6-16, 39-51) on Saturday night at McKechnie Field. RHP Frank Duncan (W, 6-5) fired seven strong innings for the Marauders to help finish a four game sweep in a series that Lakeland managed just six total runs in.
For the third time in the series Bradenton scored in the first inning and led throughout. 1B Edwin Espinal had an RBI single and a wild pitch brought in a run. LF Michael Fransoso laced an RBI single in the sixth inning.
RHP Henry Hirsch recorded the final six outs for his first save.
NOTES: The game began at 6:33 p.m. under overcast skies, 83 degrees, and wind blowing 8 mph out to center ... The Marauders completed their first four game sweep since August 28-31 of 2014 ...
