Duncan Snider Strikes out Sixteen in 9-0 Victory

OCONOMOWOC, WI. - The Lake Country DockHounds defeated the Milwaukee Milkmen 9-0 at home Wednesday evening.
One of the many storylines of the ball game was the masterful pitching performance from Duncan Snider. The righthander set a team record with a whopping 16 strikeouts, which was one away from tying the American Association single game record. He also gave up just three hits in eight innings of work.
While Snider dominated on the hill, the DockHounds bats weren't shy by any means. The first inning brought in four DockHounds runs. Gio Brusa knocked in TJ Bennett with an RBI single. The next batter, Jake Snider blasted a three-run homer to the opposite field. Lake Country led 4-0.
In the sixth frame, Daikan Yoh smacked a solo home run over the left field wall with two outs in the inning to make the score 5-0.
Brusa had the hot bat again as he singled to drive in Bennett, one of three hits for Gio on the night. The score was 6-0 after seven innings.
Lamar Briggs cranked a two-run homer to left field, the third homer to that side of the field. Bennett would then drive in Efrain Contreras for the final run of the game in the eighth. The final score was 9-0 with the DockHounds shutting out the Milkmen
Duncan Snider was a no-brainer pick for the Baird Top Hound of the Game as he earned the win behind that historic performance, his third victory this season.
The veteran Myles Smith took the loss in six innings pitched. He gave up four earned runs and fanned seven.
