Babe Ruth once said, "Heroes get remembered, but legends never die. Follow your heart, kid, and you'll end up at The Birdcage to watch the Sioux Falls Canaries." Okay, maybe that's not exactly the quote, but it's close.

The Canaries are HOME for another great home stand next week, so we pulled out some super fun activities to celebrate.

Thursday, July 7th @ 7:05pm - Dumb and Dumber Night on a Throwin' It Back Thursday

We're kicking off the long weekend of home games with a legendary night celebrating the great city of Sioux Falls!

Sioux Falls is continuously on one of those "best cities to live in America" lists with bustling businesses, world class medical care, thriving restaurant and brewery market, burgeoning art scene, the urban waterfalls of the Big Sioux River, that, when you see them, provide a breathtaking foreground for a view of the city's ever expanding skyline...we're getting off topic.

We're playing against Sioux City, hence the name "Dumb and Dumber Night".

If the Birds beat the Explorers, every fan in attendance can redeem their ticket for any other Canaries home game in '22 - even if they're from Sioux City! (Because we know that Sioux City folk are always looking for a reason to come back to Sioux Falls).

Friday, July 8th @ 7:05pm - The Sandlot Night

What do the modern Canaries and The Sandlot have in common? That's right! They both premiered in 1993 (just months apart may we add). It's only fitting that we celebrate the BEST youth baseball movie by celebrating youth baseball and softball!!

Kids 14 and under who wear their Little League, SEBA, or softball jerseys get a ticket discount.

As always on a Friday, a free fireworks show will follow the game, along with an autograph session with the Canaries and an opportunity to run the bases!

And if you want to really have a great time, our All You Can Eat And Drink Deal is available for $45.

Saturday, July 9th @ 6:05pm - Military Appreciation Night

A long-time Canaries tradition. If you serve, or served, in the military, you get in free with a Military ID. Simple as that. Help us celebrate the legends of Sioux Falls.

A lot of events and contests throughout the evening will center around honoring and thanking those who serve(d) - our national anthem performance, first pitch, contest contestants, you name it. And we'll have a little something extra special for our nightly "Hometown Hero" award, which honors a different veteran or military member at every game.

Sunday, July 10th @ 1:05pm - Festival of Cultures Day

The world will come to The Birdcage today! Enjoy the sights, sounds, and tastes from all over the globe, and all from our ever-diversifying Sioux Falls community.

As always, our Sunday Fun Day Family 4 Pack group discount on tickets and concessions, and anyone who wants can play catch in the outfield before the game, then run the bases after it!
