Dudley Transferred To Jupiter; Lasater Transferred To Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Jacksonville Suns, Double-A minor league affiliate of the Miami Marlins, announced today that UTL Aaron Dudley has been transferred to Jupiter from Jacksonville. In a corresponding move, INF Ben Lasater has been transferred to Jacksonville from New Orleans.

Dudley, in 19 plate appearances with the Suns in 2012, hit .316 with one home run and six RBI. He played in nine games, in which he started three at first base and six as the designated hitter.

Lasater, heads to Jacksonville for first time since 2011. In 2012, Lasater hit .268 with one home run (grand slam) and six RBI in 10 games with the Zephyrs. Lasater was placed on the disabled list on April 17 and is active for the first time since then. In 2011, Lasater hit .296 with the Suns with 12 home runs and 60 RBI. He will be assigned a number upon arrival in Kodak, Tennessee.

The Suns roster is at 24 for now, with the maximum of 25 allowed by the Southern League.
