
Ducks Take Series Against RiverHawks

OZARK, Mo. â The RiverHawks lost to the Springfield/Ozark Ducks by a final score of 5-1. The Ducks won the series 2-1.
Springfield/Ozark scored in the bottom of the first inning on a Todd Leathers single taking a 1-0 lead.
The RiverHawks tied the game in the bottom of the second when Dan Floyd singled in a run to tie the game at 1-1.
Springfield/Ozark took the lead for good in the bottom of the sixth inning. The Ducks had four straight hits in the inning including a two-run triple hit by Alex Taylor that gave Springfield/Ozark the lead.
Luis Villareal gets the win for Springfield/Ozark pitching six innings giving up one run on six hits.
Adam Palmer took the loss for the RiverHawks giving up four runs on eight hits in five innings pitched.
The âHawks return home to Marinelli Field at 7:05 Saturday June 12th against the Mid-Missouri Mavericks. It will be youth baseball glove night sponsored by US Cellular and Y95. Call (815) 964-BALL for tickets.
The RiverHawks are members of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league in its 12th season.
