
Ducks skate past Crunch, 3-1

SYRACUSE, NY - Pierre Parenteau had a goal and an assist to lead the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks to a 3-1 victory over the Syracuse Crunch Saturday at athe War Memorial at Oncenter.
Parenteau scored 23 seconds into third period to break a 1-1 tie for the Ducks, who snapped a four-game road losing streak. The goal gave Parenteau eight points in his last eight games, including five goals.
Kurtis Foster and Stanislav Chistov also scored for the Ducks, who improved to 8-2-1-1 in their last 12 games.
Ilya Bryzgalov stopped 23 shots en route to his 13th victory of the season.
Alexander Svitov, the third overall pick in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft by Tampa Bay, had the lone goal for Syracuse, which lost for just the fourth time in its last 12 games.
Karl Goehring finished with 27 saves in the loss for the Crunch, which finished 1-2-1-0 against Cincinnati this season.
