(High Point, N.C.) - The Long Island Ducks were defeated by the High Point Rockers 6-1 on Saturday night in the middle game of a three-game series at Truist Point.

High Point struck first in the second inning on a two-out RBI single to center field by Michael Martinez off Ducks starter Justin Courtney. A four-run fourth inning, highlighted by Brian Parreira's RBI single and D.J. Burt's two-run single, extended High Point's lead to 5-0.

Brantley Bell got the Ducks on the scoreboard in the eighth with an RBI single up the middle. However, an RBI single by Dai-Kang Yang in the bottom of the frame pushed High Point's advantage back to five.

Rockers' starter Brandon Leibrandt (1-2) earned the win, tossing five scoreless innings, allowing three hits and a walk while striking out three. Courtney (0-2) took the loss, giving up a run on four hits in three innings with two strikeouts.

The Ducks and Rockers wrap up their three-game set on Sunday afternoon. First pitch is scheduled for 4:05 p.m. at Truist Point. Fans can follow all the action live on Flo Baseball.
