Ducks, Grizzlies fit to be tied

CINCINNATI, Ohio -- Mattias Tjarnqvist and Nick Naumenko each had a goal an assist to help the Utah Grizzlies skate to a 2-2 tie with the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks Sunday at Cincinnati Gardens.

Tjarnqvist, who assisted on a power-play goal by Naumenko in the second period, scored the tying goal 4:58 into the third period for the Grizzlies, who have lost just one of their last four games (2-1-1-0).

Joel Perrault and Mike Mottau scored two minutes apart in the second period for Cincinnati, which leads San Antonio by two points for the fifth and final playoff spot in the West Division.

Jason Bacashihua turned aside 41 shots for Utah, while Ilya Bryzgalov finished with 28 saves for Cincinnati.

The Ducks play Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at Grand Rapids.
