
Ducks Drop Surf in Ninth Inning

Long Island''s Edgar Tovar delivered a bases-loaded RBI single in the bottom of the ninth inning to lift the Ducks (8-3) over the Atlantic City Surf (6-5), 7-6, Monday evening at Citibank Park in Long Island, N.Y.
The Ducks produced a five-run sixth inning en route to their second straight victory over the Surf. Aaron Ledesma, who scored the winning run for Long Island, went 4-5 with two runs scored. Jose Velasquez led the Surf with a solo home run, four hits, and three runs scored on the evening. Victor Gutierrez had three hits and two RBI''s while Pete Incaviglia added two hits for Atlantic City.
The Surf will try and avoid being swept by Long Island tonight, at 7:05 p.m., in Long Island. The game will be broadcast on WUSS 1490 AM with Chuck Betson.
