Greenville Drive News Release
Charleston, WV - The only thing that could cool off the Drive's recent hot hitting were the heavy rain showers that hit the Charleston, West Virginia area causing Friday night's regularly scheduled South Atlantic League game to be postponed.
The two teams will play a doubleheader Saturday with first pitch of game one slated for 6:05 PM. Game two will take place approximately one half hour after the conclusion of the first game with both games being seven inning affairs. The Drive will send lefty Felix Doubront to the hill as the Power counters with right-hander Nick Tyson.
This will be the Drive's second doubleheader in the early going of the 2008 season as they hosted the Kannapolis Intimidators in a twinbill at Fluor Field at the West End during the first series of the season on April 5th.
After the four game set in West Virginia, the Drive return home to Fluor Field at the West End on Tuesday, April 15th. Jackie Robinson Day, presented by Michelin, kicks off the Drive's second home stand of the season as they host the Greensboro Grasshoppers.
