
Drillers Walk off on Travs, Again, at ONEOK

Tulsa, OK - After surmounting a 3-0 deficit in the eighth inning, the Arkansas Travelers fell 4-3 in 11 innings to the Tulsa Drillers on Wednesday afternoon at ONEOK Field.
In the 11th, 1B Cody Bellinger lined a one out single to right-center and advanced to third on a DH Jacob Scavuzzo double to left. Arkansas intentionally walked C Paul Hoenecke to load the bases, but pinch-hitter Lars Anderson grounded a ball to the right side that snuck into right field to push the game-winning run across.
LHP Tyler DeLoach (L, 1-1) retired each of the first seven batters he faced beginning in the ninth, but surrendered the single, double and walk in the 11th. RHP Alan Busenitz induced the game-winning ground ball.
Tulsa outhit Arkansas 13-5 and no Travs player produced a multi-hit game.
With the Travs down 3-0 in the eighth, SS Anthony Phillips belted an RBI single, and after the inning was extended on a Bellinger error, 2B Alex Yarbrough grounded a two-out, two-run single up the middle to tie the game 3-3.
RHP Ralston Cash (W, 2-1) tossed two scoreless innings to earn the win for Tulsa.
With the loss, Arkansas fell to 13-20 on the season. The two teams will play game two of the four-game seires on Thursday night at ONEOK Field. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
