
Drillers finalize 25-man roster

BEAUMONT, TX -- The Beaumont Drillers finalized their 25-man roster after practice on Wed., March 2.
"Hands down, we are far more talented than last year," said Driilers defensive coordinator Troy Esprit, who started in the Drillers secondary season. "We keep stressing this, but everything is so much different, from top to bottom."
With the roster moves, the team released J.P. Bearden (DB), Wade Merendino (DE), Beaux Daville (RB), Mike Mooney (WR), Dalton Woods (OL), Giles Cole (WR) and Nate Tandberg (K).
The Drillers will once again hit the practice field Thursday, March 3 at 7 p.m. at the Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club (I-10 & 7th St) in Beaumont.
The season opener for the Drillers is just four days away as the black and silver host the Odessa Roughnecks, Monday, March 7 at 7:05 p.m. at Ford Arena.
