Fayetteville, NC --- The Fayetteville Guard is ready for battle, armed to defend its home turf against all opposition. The Guard is rough, tough and ready to rumble. He's big, bad and nameless.
The citizens of Fayetteville are being called upon to name their mascot. All entries should be directed to P.O. Box 524, Fayetteville, NC 28302. The winning entry will receive a free pair season tickets and recognition at the home opener, against the Odessa rough necks, on April 2, at the Crown Coliseum.
The Fayetteville Guard, of the National Indoor Football League, is Fayetteville's only professional football team and they are "The Football Team For Hometown Heroes." Game time is 7:05 p.m., come early for tailgating and family fun. For more team information log onto www.fayettevilleguard.com.
