Fayetteville Guard Signs First Player For 2007

FAYETTEVILLE, NC - The Fayetteville Guard's General Manager Robert Heath has announced the signing of former NFL running back Wilmont Perry as the first player acquired for the 2007 season. Perry, a former running back for the New Orleans Saints and a member of the Carolina Panthers practice squad is Fayetteville's all time leading rusher. He led the team to a 13-1 regular season record and a trip to the NIFL Indoor Bowl VI in 2006.
The schedule for the 2007 season will be released soon and season tickets are now on sale.
