Drew Willy Named #3 Shaw Performer of the Week
June 30, 2015 - Canadian Football League (CFL)
Winnipeg Blue Bombers News Release
WINNIPEG, MB., June 30, 2015 - After a dominating offensive performance in last week's 30-26 victory in Regina, quarterback Drew Willy was named a Shaw Canadian Football League Top Performer of the Week.
Willy completed 22 of 25 passes, for 325 yards and three touchdowns. It was the third time in his two-year starting career in which he threw for at least three touchdowns in a game.
"This recognition is simply a testament to all 12 guys who play on the offensive side of the ball, as well as our coaches," said Willy. "Every single member of our offence executed well throughout the game, and because of that we were able to be successful. We hope for more of the same come Thursday against Hamilton."
The three players were chosen by a panel of judges including former Canadian Football League players Matt Dunigan and Duane Forde of TSN, and Pierre Vercheval of RDS.
