Fuller Named a Top Performer for Week 1
June 30, 2015 - Canadian Football League (CFL)
Calgary Stampeders News Release
Calgary Stampeders receiver Jeff Fuller has been named one of the CFL's Top Performers for Week 1 of the Canadian Football League season.
As part of a new weekly and monthly awards format honouring the league's top three performers regardless of position, Fuller is being honoured after leading all CFL receivers with nine catches for 148 yards in the Stamps' 24-23 victory over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats at McMahon Stadium on Friday.
Fuller's game included a spectacular play on a career-long 48-yard reception as well as a clutch catch in the final minute that allowed the Stamps to convert a third-and-18 and continue the drive that led to the game-winning field goal as time expired.
Toronto quarterback Trevor Harris and Winnipeg Blue Bombers pivot Drew Willy round out the top three in voting by TSN and RDS analysts.
