
Dragons to Host 5K Fun Run

DAYTON, OH- On Saturday, August 7th, the Dayton Dragons will host the first ever "Dayton Dragons 5K Fun Run" at 9:00 A.M. at Fifth Third Field. Men and women, 10 and older, are welcomed to participate. After the race runners are encouraged to stick around and hang out for some fun and festivities.
There is a $20 registration fee, which includes a ticket to a Dragons game for any remaining games of the season, and a unique Dragons T-Shirt. The registration fee is $25 after July 27th, and the T-Shirt is not guaranteed, so sign up early. All proceeds will benefit the initiatives of the Dragons MVP Program.
The race will start on the plaza just outside Fifth Third Field and run through Five Rivers Metro Park and end inside the Stadium. Overall male and female winners will receive a one of a kind engraved baseball bat. Age group awards are given to the top three males and females in these categories: 10-Under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and older.

Checks can be made payable and mailed to Dayton Dragons, c/o 5K, Fifth Third Field, PO Box 2107, Dayton, Ohio 45401. Check in and registration begins prior to the race on August 7th at 7:30 A.M. and runs until 8:45 A.M.
