Dragons Place Morillo on Disabled List; Add Kemp

DAYTON, OHIO-The Dayton Dragons announced the following roster changes today:

Left-handed pitcher Junior Morillo has been placed on the disabled list.

Right-handed pitcher Ryan Kemp has been promoted to Dayton from extended spring training in Goodyear, Arizona.

The Dragons roster remains at the Midwest League limit of 25 players.

Morillo suffered a sprained left elbow in his first start of the season Tuesday night at Peoria. The injury will be further evaluated tomorrow.

Kemp spent the entire 2012 season with the Dragons but missed all of 2013 with an injury. He appeared in 46 games with the Dragons in 2012 (all in relief), going 3-5 with a 3.99 earned run average. Kemp was the Cincinnati Reds 14th round draft pick in 2011 out of St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia.

The Dragons continue a six-game road trip tonight at Peoria at 7:30 p.m. (EDT).
