Today's Game: The Dayton Dragons (affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds) meet the Lake County Captains (affiliate of the Cleveland Indians) in the first game of a two-game set in Dayton.

Season Series to Date: Dayton 8, Lake County 5 (at Dayton: Dragons 7, Captains 1).

Last Game: Tuesday: Lake County 3, Dayton 2. Lake County scored three runs in the second inning and held off the Dragons to earn a split of the two games in Eastlake. The Dragons went 0 for 9 with men in scoring position and stranded nine runners. Both Dayton runs came in the seventh, keyed by a double by Mitch Piatnik. Both runs scored on infield ground outs. The Dragons left runners at second and third in the eighth.

Hunter Greene over his last eight starts: 43.1 IP, 30 H, 10 R, 9 ER, 9 BB, 51 SO, 1.87 ERA. Greene has made 15 starts. His ERA in his first seven starts was 10.06.

Jose Garcia has a seven-game hitting streak, batting .355 with three doubles and a triple. The streak has lifted Garcia's average from .196 to .215.

Leandro Santana is batting .313 over his last 17 games to raise his season's average from .190 to .228.

Malik Collymore has hits in nine of the 10 games he has played in with the Dragons, batting .333.

Jeter Downs is batting .286 with two home runs in the second half and has walked nine times in 12 games.

J.D. Williams is batting .310 since his return to the Dragons on June 16. Williams went 6 for 14 (.429) with two doubles and a triple on the road trip that ended Tuesday.

Raul Wallace is batting .306 since joining the Dragons from Billings on June 16.

Cory Thompson has posted a 1.99 ERA in 29 relief appearances. He leads the MWL in appearances.
