Today's Game : The Dayton Dragons (affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds) meet the Lansing Lugnuts (affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays) in the third game of a four-game series.
Today's Dragons Starting Pitcher: Nick Masset will start for the Dragons tonight and throw one inning. Masset is currently on the Reds 60-day disabled list and has not appeared in a major league game this season due to a right shoulder injury. Masset has pitched in 241 games for the Reds since joining the club on July 31, 2008 from the Chicago White Sox in a deal that sent Ken Griffey Jr. from Cincinnati to Chicago. He is 13-11 with a 3.07 earned run average and three saves with the Reds. Masset will become the fourth major league player to play for the Dragons this season on an injury rehabilitation assignment. Infielder Miguel Cairo was the first, followed by relief pitcher Bill Bray and outfielder Drew Stubbs.

- Kyle Waldrop is batting .368 (14 for 38) with two home runs over his last 11 games.
- Mike Dennhardt has tossed 16 scoreless innings over his last 10 relief appearances. This is the longest scoreless streak of the year for a Dayton pitcher. He has not been scored upon since June 29, lowering his ERA from 3.16 to 1.94.
- Carlos Gonzalez over his last five relief appearances: 3-0, 0.90 ERA, 10 IP, 1 R.
