Kingston Frontenacs News Release
Mason Vaccari is not the tallest goaltender you will ever meet. Still, his athleticism and technical skills make him one of the most highly regarded goaltenders in the 2021 OHL Priority Selection. Standings at 5'11" and 168 lbs, the Vaughan Kings U15 AAA netminder was unanimously voted by his GTHL peers as a goalie that they would start in an elimination game. Known to fight for every puck, the 16-year-old has built a reputation of making quick recoveries not to allow opponents much space on rebounds.
Vaccari has always looked up to one of the NHL's best goaltenders in Montreal Canadiens netminder Carey Price and emulates the B.C.-born netminder in his play and gear setup. His goalie mask has two crowns on each side, paying homage to the retired Vaughan Kings logo. Unlike many goalies, Vaccari also has full-coloured pads, currently black and silver with the Kings.
