(Vancouver) The BC Lions Football Club announced today that the second installment of the Draft a Lion sponsorship program has sold out for the 2008 season.
The sponsor initiative which provides Vancouver and area businesses with exposure at home games and a link to Lions community programs launched last season and has 20 proud partners.
"We're thrilled with the success of Draft a Lion again this year and look forward to helping these partners create more awareness for their business and be part of the United Way's Courage For Kids ticket program," said Lions VP of Business, George Chayka.
The Draft a Lion program was designed to service the needs of local area businesses and organizations that don't have budgets for larger sponsorship packages but still want to support the club.
Participating companies will be entered into a draft lottery during Draft a Lion Dinner Reception to be held at the Red Robinson Show Theatre on Wednesday, May 28th at 6:00 pm. Each business will be eligible to draft one Lions player from a roster of 20 following the dinner.
