PEARL, MS -- Mississippi Braves RHP Terry Doyle has been promoted to Triple-A Gwinnett from Double-A Mississippi. No corresponding move was announced.
Doyle, 28, was signed by the Braves and assigned to Mississippi on June 2. He went 1-0 with a 2.79 ERA in five outings for the Double-A Braves. Doyle began the season at Birmingham, going 4-4 with a 5.93 ERA in eight starts for the Barons. He was originally selected in the 37th round of the 2008 draft by the White Sox. He was selected by the Twins in the 2011 Rule 5 Draft but was returned to the White Sox after spring training. He was released in June 2012 and went to Japan. He played in the Red Sox system in 2013 before returning to the White Sox this year.
The Mississippi roster has 23 active players and 4 disabled.
