MIDLAND, Mich. - The Great Lakes Loons and the Michigan Baseball Foundation are pleased to serve as the host of the H.H. Dow High School and Midland High School graduations at Dow Diamond on Thursday, May 24, 2018.
This marks the first time graduation ceremonies have taken place at Dow Diamond. The ceremonies will take place on the field with family and friends able to utilize the ballpark's seating bowl.
H.H. Dow High School Schedule
9:30 a.m. Buses pick up students/staff at DHS to travel to Dow Diamond for practice
10 a.m. Graduation practice for students/staff
3 p.m. Buses pick up students/staff at DHS
3:30 p.m. Dow Diamond parking lot opens for DHS guests
3:45 p.m. Stadium gates open for guest entry
4:30 p.m. DHS Graduation Ceremony begins
6:30 p.m. Students/staff board buses to return to DHS; diplomas distributed at DHS; photos taken at this time
Midland High School Schedule
11:30 a.m. Buses pick up students/staff at MHS to travel to Dow Diamond for practice
12 p.m. Graduation practice for students/staff
5 p.m. MHS opens for students to take photos
6 p.m. Buses pick up students/staff at MHS
6 p.m. Dow Diamond parking lot opens for MHS guests
6:30 p.m. Stadium gates open for guest entry
7:30 p.m. MHS Graduation Ceremony begins
8:45 p.m. Students/staff board buses to return to DHS; diplomas distributed on buses
Important information for both schools is listed below.
- Each graduate is to receive 6 preferred/reserved seat tickets (Sect 103-111) in the seating bowl for family members.
- If graduates have more than 6 guests wishing to attend, seats outside the reserved/ticketed area will be available.
- General admission - no ticket required.
- Graduates will be seated on folding chairs/event decking on the infield. A stage will be set between the mound and home plate.
- Cameras/video board will be used along with live streaming on Facebook.
- Limited concessions will be available for purchase.
- In the case of inclement weather, graduation ceremonies will be held indoors at each school's respective gym as in years past.
