
Dougie Hamilton Signs with IceDogs

Niagara IceDogs General Manager Dave Brown announced today that the IceDogs have signed their Second Round pick, 27th overall, from the 2009 Priority Selction, Dougie Hamilton.
The 6'2" defenseman, spent last season with the St. Catharines Minor Midget Falcons, playing in 67 games, scoring 20 goals and adding 33 assists for 53 points, while racking up 26 penalty minutes.
"I am extremely pleased to have Dougie as a part of this organization" said Brown "He is an all around, effective defenseman with good size and obviously he comes from a good family."
Dougie is currently taking part in IceDogs training camp with older brother Freddie and the rest of the IceDogs. The camp is taking place at the Seymour Hannah Arena Complex and will continue until tomorrow night, when the Annual Black and White game will take place at 7:30pm. Admission is free to the public and all are encouraged to attend.
